Pick the right kind of link
t.me/yourusername opens a direct chat. t.me/yourchannel opens a public channel. A t.me/+ invite link opens a private group. They behave differently on arrival, so choose the one that matches what you are actually inviting people into.

Set a public username if you have not
Private invite links are long, random and expire when you revoke them — all bad properties for something printed. A public username gives you a short, permanent, human-readable address that produces a light, robust pattern.

Prepare what people see on arrival
A channel with no description and no pinned message gives a new arrival nothing to do. Write the description, pin a welcome post that explains what the channel is for and how often you post, and the join rate from print goes up noticeably.

'Scan for price updates', 'Scan to join the community', 'Scan for support' all work. 'Join us on Telegram' does not, because it names the channel rather than the reason.
